Scottsdale Airpark News 12/2007
Karin Johnson, Owner of Peak Concierge Services, a company that offers personal assistance on a contracted, as-needed basis, says that there is a growing demand for ‘simplification services’ among Airpark executives. Says Johnson, “Business owners are embracing the opportunity to delegate their personal to-do lists and projects in order to dedicate themselves to growing their business, or to taking some much needed time off. Airpark business owners not only call upon us to complete their grocery shopping, dry-cleaning or prescription pickup, but they also have us cook some meals for them, deal with the insurance companies on difficult claims, take in the car for detailing, and pick up family members and friends at the airport. We are in their homes while the housecleaners show up, we’re there to oversee remodeling projects and to meet the plumber or the pest control folks, allowing the busy executive or business owner to leave for work.”
Further, Johnson shares that while most clients know where they need the help, others do not. The latter group simply has an instinct to streamline the day-to-day. Johnson continues, “Some clients are looking for help on the same day every week and the tasks are usually the same: cooking, cleaning, and organizing the pantry, making a visit to the post office and finishing some specialty purchases at the local store. Other clients want someone to research mattresses or phone companies for them.”
